RailsConf 2011 - Rails on HBase

I was happy to give a presentation at RailsConf 2011 with Tony Hillerson titled “Rails on HBase”. We gave the talk from the position of a Rails developer interested in knowing if HBase might be a good fit for their app. The main takeaway was that unless you’re hitting the limits of your relational database, the costs of HBase will likely outweight the benefits.
